Frequently Asked Questions

My Process

  • I use acrylic paint. I prefer Liquitex Professional and I use Liquitex Basics for their transparency as glazes. I also use System 3 and Golden. In addition to paints I use a variety of professional pencil crayons, pastels, acrylic paint markers and Posca pens.

  • Paintings can take days or even weeks to complete. I start off working on at least 3 paintings, getting the first layers down, this keeps me working freely and void of judgement. Then I start to focus on individual paintings eventually taking each one to completion. Each painting goes through a journey of layering, of experimenting, of failures and successes before the end result is realised.

  • Giclée prints are produced using specialised large-format inkjet printers with a high number of ink colours to capture the widest possible color range. The prints have exceptional detail, vibrant colors, and subtle tonal gradations that are close to the original artwork. Archival pigment inks and acid-free, high-quality papers or canvas, are used to ensure the prints are fade-resistant and can last for decades.
