The Showman is an original coloured-pencil drawing featuring a striking horse with a strong sense of character and presence.
Rich chestnut, copper and black tones bring warmth and depth to the carefully observed details, while the bold red pattern creates a lively contrast and adds a touch of theatrical flair.
The horse’s confident expression and commanding stance inspired the title, suggesting a character who is perfectly at home in the spotlight. The combination of detailed pencil work and decorative pattern brings together realism, colour and a little whimsy.
Created using professional-quality Polychromos coloured pencils.
